About The Position

The Manager, Corporate Internal Communications develops, implements, and manages internal communications strategies, programs, and channels that connect employees to business priorities, strengthen culture, and reinforce the organization’s mission, values, and employer brand. The role manages end-to-end communication practices—from planning and content development through implementation and measurement—and partners closely with HR, executive leadership, corporate communications and key stakeholders across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in branding/internal communications (or closely related communications/marketing work), with strong emphasis on internal messaging, and employer branding.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, planning, and execution skills; ability to execute and implement projects with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; self-starter, motivator, consensus builder, and collaborator.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines; highly organized and detail-oriented while maintaining the big-picture view. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with social media platforms and video conferencing tools; desktop publishing/creative tools as applicable (e.g., Adobe).
  • Broad knowledge of business management as it relates to marketing and communications programs; ability to integrate communications programs across the business.
  • High-energy, self-motivated team player; strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage approved internal communications policies, programs, and related activities.
  • Develop new communications programs and initiatives as needed to support business goals and employee alignment.
  • Manage end-to-end communication practices for internal audiences—from design and development through implementation and evaluation.
  • Lead development and execution of internal communications deliverables including newsletters, electronic messaging campaigns, intranet content and design (SharePoint), leadership toolkits, and executive communications.
  • Create, write, edit, and proofread content (announcements, articles, flyers, posters, presentations, toolkits) ensuring consistency with branding standards and message discipline.
  • Generate story ideas and gather information through interviews, research, and coordination with subject matter experts and the Leonardo DRS internal communications Ambassadors; source or coordinate graphics/art for communications.
  • Partner with senior leaders and project teams on communications planning, messaging, and materials to support strategic initiatives and change.
  • Develop executive messaging and high-quality materials for senior leadership (including HR leadership), translating strategy into clear, visually compelling communications.
  • Work closely with Ambassadors, HR, and Executives and Business Units to ensure communications are timely, accurate, and aligned across the organization.
  • Support initiatives that champion the organization’s employer brand and help build a culture of connection and engagement.
  • Partner with HR to develop and deliver communications plans for HR programs and initiatives (including benefits communications) that improve employee understanding and participation.
  • Use analytics and feedback loops to evaluate communications effectiveness; refine messaging, cadence, and channels accordingly.
  • Ensure communications deliverables meet high standards for clarity, accuracy, visual quality, and brand consistency.
