About The Position

The Manager, Human Resources has complete responsibility for providing Plant HR leadership too employees and serve as a business partner to the plant leadership team. This position partners with the leadership team in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating HR activities. This position leads efforts related to positive employee relations and takes a proactive role in shaping the plant environment and culture to encourage continuous improvement, and drive world class results in people, cost, quality, service and environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • 5 -7 years of progressive HR experience, with concentration in employee/labor relations
  • 3+ years at management level and in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills – Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and convey information verbally, via electronic mediums, and presentations.
  • Business Partner and trusted advisor. Experience working on multi-functional project teams. Leverages relationships throughout the organization to influence individuals and outcomes. Raises difficult subjects or issues and provide recommended solutions.
  • Employs rapid, adaptive thinking to build and execute strategies in a fast paced, ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment
  • Utilizes good judgment in balancing organizational needs and priorities
  • Demonstrates strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrates business and financial acumen from an HR standpoint.
  • Highly functional user of MS Office Suite and ADP HR

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food manufacturing preferred
  • Bilingual English-Spanish speaking candidate is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads initiatives to foster positive employee relations, an engaged workforce, a positive culture, and effective communication throughout the plant by working collaboratively with leaders and hourly employees.
  • Influences and implements company-wide programs related to performance management, talent and succession planning, and career development in the Plant.
  • Develops learning and development strategy to include analyzing needs, delivering training, securing corporate training resources, and analyzing results at the Plant.
  • At the plant, ensures leaders and other top talent are engaged, developed and retained.
  • Manage and implement Talent Management Process. Align company goals with performance and talent management systems, compensation, and incentives.
  • Implements policies and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Partners with plant leadership to consistently and fairly apply disciplinary actions, and improvement plans.
  • Responds to employee complaints by leading investigations, conducting due diligence, and serving as a contact person with outside agencies.
  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies for hourly workforce, including forecasting and short-term resourcing to meet current, and future demand.
  • Implements diversity strategies and ensures recruiting strategies and sources are focused on achieving diversity goals and AAP actions at the plant level.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
