About The Position

The Manager, IT Vendor Management & Strategic Sourcing is accountable for the strategic and operational management of IT vendors and contracts across the enterprise. This role owns the full vendor contract lifecycle- including sourcing support, renewals, negotiations, amendments, and terminations- ensuring vendors deliver measurable value, performance, and compliance aligned to business and technology objectives. Serving as a trusted partner to IT leadership, Procurement, Legal, and Finance, the role drives vendor governance, mitigates risk, optimizes cost, and informs strategic sourcing decisions across the IT portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and / or Economics / Business focus
  • Eight (8) years or more in Sourcing or Procurement / Finance Related required
  • Strong product background and/or industry knowledge advanced required
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook) advanced required

Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Contract Lifecycle Management Manage the full lifecycle of IT vendor contracts, including onboarding, renewals, renegotiations, amendments, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with IT Business Owner(s) to lead contract renewal planning and execution to ensure continuity of service, competitive pricing, and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with IT Business Owner(s) to conduct vendor contract negotiations in partnership with Procurement and Legal, including terms, SLAs, rate structures, and exit clauses.
  • Ensure timely execution, storage, and governance of all vendor agreements and amendments in accordance with company policies.
  • Hands-on experience with technology contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, pricing structures, and service credits Experience leading vendor contract renewals and negotiations in partnership with the Business, Procurement, and Legal Vendor Relationship & Performance Management Act as the primary point of contact for assigned IT vendors, fostering strong, professional relationships.
  • Define and enforce IT vendor governance standards (e.g., QBRs, performance reviews), escalation paths, and performance management framework across the vendor portfolio.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs, escalating issues as needed.
  • Drive corrective action plans and support vendor remediation or exit strategies when performance standards are not met.
  • Experience leading vendor contract renewals and negotiations in partnership with the Business, Procurement, and Legal Collaboration with IT, Procurement, & Legal Partner closely with IT leaders to understand technology needs, roadmap changes, and service requirements.
  • Support and influence IT strategic sourcing initiatives by providing vendor insights, contract intelligence, and market benchmarks to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Partner with Procurement to shape sourcing strategies for complex or high-risk IT vendors, including RFP support and vendor evaluations when applicable.
  • Ensure vendor strategies align with IT standards, security requirements, financial objectives, and enterprise governance.
  • Partner with IT Finance Management to align vendor spend, forecasts, and budget planning with technology roadmaps, cost optimization goals, and financial governance.
  • Experience supporting or leading cost optimization and value realization through vendor and contract management Risk, Compliance & Cost Optimization Identify and manage vendor-related risks, including contract, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
  • Support vendor rationalization efforts and termination planning where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, contract consolidation, and improved terms.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting Provide executive recommendations on vendor strategy, renewal posture, negotiation levers, and risk mitigation options to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain standardized vendor management and contract management processes.
  • Maintain accurate contract and vendor documentation, dashboards, and renewal calendars.
  • Vendor Performance Management: Skilled in defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs, SLAs, and vendor scorecards to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate vendor, contractual, financial, and operational risks.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to design, document, and improve vendor and contract management processes, workflows, and tooling.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience developing dashboards, insights, and executive reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Communication & Influence: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate issues, recommendations, and outcomes to technical and executive audiences.
  • Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly in response to shifting priorities, organizational changes, or evolving vendor landscapes.
  • Self Driven & Results Oriented: Highly self motivated with the ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast paced environment.
