Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in the Transportation industry
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Software is necessary

Nice To Haves

• Associate/Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Experience within government based GFM, WAWF systems is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain a pool of cost-efficient transportation carriers for both domestic and international shipments
• Analyze and manage cost per hundredweight (CWT), ensuring accurate tracking, rate evaluation, and benchmarking against established standards
• Develop forward-looking budget projections and monitor performance against actual results using defined metrics
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet operational requirements and customer expectations
• Continuously monitor transportation costs and optimize the carrier network as needed
• Ensure all shipments comply with ITAR requirements and applicable federal regulations
• Coordinate legal review and obtain necessary approvals for AMG transportation activities
• Track departmental performance against budget and implement corrective actions when needed
• Lead, oversee, and manage the performance and responsibilities of Logistics Planners
