Enterprise Strategy and Delivery Department The Enterprise Strategy and Delivery (ESD) group supports the Global IT organization, drives technological innovation for the company, and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes IT, Software Development, OT / Automation Systems, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are very hands on. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so we can make informed purchase decisions. The ESD department works to empower each member across teams to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results. Position Overview This role is based in Denver, CO, following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible). The Manager, PMO plays a critical role in leading Technical Project Managers (TPMs) and driving enterprise technology and application deployment initiatives across our global data center footprint. Sitting between tactical project execution and strategic program management, this role ensures that projects stay on track, align with business objectives, and adhere to best practices. This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of TPMs while also driving continuous improvement in PMO processes. The ideal candidate has a background in enterprise technology project management, cross-functional collaboration, and risk mitigation, along with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with a focus on enterprise technology deployments and application rollouts.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring project managers or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects across a global organization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities.
  • Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, process improvement mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • People Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of TPMs, providing guidance and career development support.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Define clear expectations and success metrics for the team, ensuring alignment with PMO and business goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
  • Advocate for team needs and remove roadblocks to ensure effective project execution.
  • Project Execution & Leadership Oversee and drive the successful delivery of multiple enterprise applications and technology projects.
  • Ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Act as a key escalation point for project risks, proactively identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a primary leader in both instilling Organization Change Enablement (OCE) as a core and embedded aspect of all projects and our methodology as well as a key owner in executing OCE across the Global IT projects.
  • Support the PMO in continuous improvement efforts around processes, templates, and governance frameworks for consistent project execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, operations, and external vendors.
  • Provide clear, consistent project updates to leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate alignment between project teams and business units to ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Process Improvement & Governance Contribute to the development and refinement of PMO methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Monitor and enforce project governance standards to maintain compliance and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
