About The Position

Manager, Project Management - Remote The Manager of Project Management leads a team of project and program managers delivering complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This role partners closely with business leaders, Finance, Technology, and EPMO leadership to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, aligned to enterprise strategy, and supported by strong governance and transparent project health reporting. The position has a critical focus on financial stewardship (budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and capital vs. operating expense alignment), KPI development and portfolio health insights, and benefits realization/value tracking to ensure work progresses beyond delivery to measurable business outcomes. The role also advances EPMO maturity by strengthening standards, coaching PMs, improving intake/planning and estimation practices, and enabling executive-ready dashboards and governance forums. Core Focus Areas: Lead planning and execution of strategic, cross-functional projects and programs; enforce PMLC/phase-gate methodology and disciplined scope/schedule/cost/risk management. Own project financial management: budget vs. actuals, forecasting, variance tracking, burn-rate analysis, and funding transparency in partnership with Finance. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and executive insights (schedule/budget variance, risk exposure, resource utilization, delivery confidence, on-time delivery, cycle time/time to value, throughput, and portfolio risk/predictability). Establish and track success measures and benefits realization tied to business cases (revenue, cost savings, productivity, customer/member experience, and strategic capability enablement). Drive EPMO process maturity and continuous improvement (standards, templates, PPM tools, intake and portfolio governance, delivery playbook enhancements). Communicate status, risks, decisions, and outcomes to senior stakeholders; facilitate governance forums and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 years project management/Program Management
  • 4 years supervisor or leadership experience.
  • 4 years experience in healthcare, preferably in a health plan/ managed services organization/ pharmacy benefit management organization

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • PMI certification (PMP) and/or Agile certification (SAFE, CSM etc.)
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management Tools (MS Project/PWA, Monday.com, Clarity etc.)
