PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICEWashington, DC
2d$70,000 - $95,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Partnership is seeking a dynamic, collaborative and motivated project manager to join our Public Service Leadership Institute (PSLI) team to manage cohorts of our AI Government Leadership program and other AI-focused leadership projects. Our Artificial Intelligence Government Leadership program is a multi-month leadership development program designed to help senior government leaders build a clear understanding of AI fundamentals, identify meaningful and practical AI opportunities in their work, and lead responsibly as they navigate the opportunities and risks associated with AI. Participants include members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) as well as other senior leaders from across government. As the Partnership expands our work in the AI and data space, we are intentionally growing this program, and related efforts, to create lasting and scalable change in government. This role will manage the day-to-day execution of cohorts of the AI Government Leadership program under the support and supervision of the program senior manager. Responsibilities include planning and execution, leading teams of executive coaches and program staff who deliver the programs to government leaders and managing relationships with external stakeholders. They will also lead other AI-focused leadership projects, for example building AI-participant alumni networks and deepening the impact of participant-led AI projects. This position is ideal for someone with a strong project management background who also has experience with delegation; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; experience designing and launching new programs and working with funders; and demonstrated experience in relationship management. An interest in AI, a basic working knowledge of AI and a willingness to continuously learn about its evolving capabilities will be important in this position. An understanding of its implications for leadership, organizations, and the public sector is a plus. Please note, this is not a technical position. While familiarity with AI is strongly preferred, this is fundamentally a program management role centered on overseeing and advancing a leadership development program.
