About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology Services, this role serves as the district’s primary technical and functional lead for the Student Information System (SIS), Clever SSO platform, rostering and data integrations, and the Destiny Library Manager system. This position supports district staff by ensuring data accuracy, smooth system operations, successful integrations with third-party applications, and timely reporting. The role requires strong collaboration with district departments, school staff, and external partners to maintain reliable and compliant data systems that support student learning, operational efficiency, and state and federal reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework in business, mathematics, computer science or related quantitative field and three (3) years demonstrated recent work experience managing a student data management system including experience supporting computer applications, or Associate’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience; and five (5) years demonstrated recent work experience and expertise managing a student data management system including experience supporting computer applications.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and communicating.
  • Ability to communicate, motivate, and organize projects among a broad spectrum of personnel throughout the district, frequently under deadline pressure.
  • Knowledge of report writing and query software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the district’s primary point of contact for SIS support, configuration, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
  • Manage annual and cyclical processes including year-end transitions, scheduling, grading/report cards, enrollment, and state reporting workflows.
  • Support school administrators and office teams in coordination with data/process owning departments regarding SIS processes such as master scheduling, FTE reporting, and student data validation.
  • Coordinate system updates, patches, new feature rollouts, and testing with SIS and district stakeholders.
  • Oversee automated rostering processes for third-party instructional platforms, ensuring accurate and timely provisioning of users, classes, and enrollments.
  • Administer Clever SSO, including application setup, data sharing rules, troubleshooting login issues, and partnering with vendors on integration changes.
  • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies between SIS-to-vendor syncs.
  • Collaborate with the Teaching & Learning department to provide system-level support for Follett Destiny, including catalog data management, user and site setup, system updates, and resolving library circulation or access issues.
  • Lead projects related to data integration, data sharing, and system interoperability across district platforms.
  • Manage import/export processes and API-based integrations between district systems and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure staff to align system security, permissions, and data governance practices.
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend system improvements, automations, or new integrations that support district goals.
  • Provide training and ongoing support for system users across multiple departments.
  • Cross train on other systems to serve as backup when necessary: Reporting Database support HR/Finance system.
  • Identify and request professional development and training to maintain skills relevant to changing technology and process.
  • Participate in developing short- and long-term planning for information systems.
  • Model appropriate and cooperative behavior, including protecting confidential information consistent with district ethical guidelines.
  • Foster and maintain strong productive relationships with district employees, vendors and contractors, and other community members.
  • Work with a variety of people in a positive manner.
