About The Position

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team and play a key role in enhancing production processes, improving manufacturing efficiency, and supporting customer needs. This role blends hands-on engineering within production with sustaining engineering responsibilities to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, cost, and delivery. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems on the production floor, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sustaining engineering or process engineering within a manufacturing environment (contract manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience working within regulated quality systems, ideally ISO 13485 and cGMP environments
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as Value Stream Mapping and 5S
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with process validation, capability studies, and statistical analysis (DOE experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical software
  • Experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or similar programs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, production, and customer teams
  • High attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of urgency in resolving production challenges

  • Six Sigma certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive process enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives within production using tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and other lean manufacturing methods
  • Support product transfers into production following design review and ensure processes are production-ready
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve required throughput, yield, and cost targets
  • Lead or support process validation activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, Gauge R&R, and software validation in accordance with master validation plans
  • Design and coordinate development of custom equipment, fixtures, and tooling to improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs
  • Support the acquisition, installation, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment
  • Train production assemblers on new or updated assembly procedures
  • Analyze production data and support capability studies and process performance analysis
  • Assist with equipment maintenance troubleshooting and coordinate escalation when needed
  • Review and improve production line layouts to enhance workflow and efficiency
  • Support risk management activities and maintain updates to Device Master Records (DMR)
  • Identify and resolve safety issues related to equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of engineering improvements
  • Follow all quality system procedures and SOPs in accordance with the Manufacturing Training Matrix
