About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Staff (Level 4) for the Advanced Programs Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes for various Advanced Programs as they transition to the Line of Business (LOB) for low‑rate initial production. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team focused on ensuring designs are producible and cost‑competitive. You will evaluate designs, develop manufacturing readiness assessments, and create proposals to meet customer needs. Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Active secret clearance
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical manufacturing
  • Actively support industry standard committees
  • Experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC)

  • Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy
  • Shop floor Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Experience supporting development programs
  • Experience supporting suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating designs and providing manufacturing feedback.
  • Developing manufacturing readiness assessments and proposals.
  • Making make/buy determinations.
  • Presenting program status information to customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including Production Operations, Program Management, and Engineering & Technology stakeholders.
