As the Manufacturing & Logistics Manager, you will lead the transition from innovative design to specialized production for Sonatus’ groundbreaking Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) technologies. You will serve as the essential link between our engineering teams and global Contract Manufacturers (CMs), ensuring that our hardware—including sophisticated vehicle gateways and diagnostic tools—meets the uncompromising quality and reliability standards required by leading OEMs. This role offers a unique opportunity for a generalist to manage the complete product lifecycle within a specialized, low-volume environment. You will have the opportunity to build world-class manufacturing flows, master the complexities of international shipping and global logistics, and play a pivotal role in the future of AI-enabled mobility. You will report to our Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations or supply chain management within high-reliability hardware sectors.
  • Proven experience in global component purchasing, with the ability to navigate long-lead-time electronics markets for complex assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, including Incoterms, customs compliance, and shipping high-value electronics globally.
  • Extensive track record managing CMs through the NPI (New Product Introduction) phase and into low-to-medium volume production.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or optimizing ERP/MRP and PLM platforms to manage engineering changes and global supply chain data.
  • Superior ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Finance) and manage vendor relationships under pressure.
  • Commitment to being 100% onsite at the Sunnyvale, CA headquarters to provide direct oversight of hardware operations and laboratory collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing of all BOM components, including vendor selection and PO issuance to ensure 100% material availability for low-volume production runs.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end logistics process, managing international shipping, customs documentation, and delivery to global OEM customers.
  • Act as the primary link between engineering and CMs, ensuring hardware platforms meet quality and reliability standards for professional vehicle diagnostic tools.
  • Take ownership of gross margin objectives, managing COGS and manufacturing efficiency to drive hardware profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Key Process Indicators (KPIs) focused on automotive-grade quality and on-time delivery.
  • Define and document manufacturing flows and SOPs specifically for specialized, low-volume automotive electronics environments.
  • Support hands-on implementation of ERP/MRP and PLM systems to ensure seamless data flow from design to global delivery.
  • Provide final approval for technical manufacturing approaches, ensuring all processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
