Requirements

  • Demonstrates effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Demonstrated success in a diverse, team-oriented work environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Experience with MS Suite of applications including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous material handling or assembly experience in electrics industry is preferred
  • Track record of increasing effectiveness or reducing waste in process steps, familiarity with LEAN methodologies is preferred
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package parts and products in preparation for external shipment by selecting the appropriate shipping container and pack items for safe delivery.
  • Receive and store incoming materials in the main stockroom facility. Requires validation of packing slip against available tools to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
  • Sorts, counts, packages, labels, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
  • Issues parts and material to production work orders and delivers to production material staging area.
  • Conducts inventory cycle counts of material on a weekly basis. May assist with investigating material discrepancy errors.
  • Perform administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, prepare routine reports, file shipping and receiving records.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
  • Performs miscellaneous stock room related administrative duties as assigned.
  • May provide on the job training and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, without assistance.
