About The Position

The Manufacturing Planner III is an experienced planning role responsible for end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and material coordination across multiple product lines within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, inventory health, and production efficiency while supporting new product introductions and ongoing business growth. The planner will use complex data analysis and MRP systems to develop cost-effective, executable production schedules, balancing demand, capacity, materials, labor, and equipment. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction, revenue performance, and operational scalability.

Requirements

  • Experience in production planning and scheduling across multiple product lines.
  • Proficiency in using MRP systems and understanding of MRP master data (lead times, lot sizing, safety stock, BOMs, routers).
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with advanced ERP/MRP platforms.
  • Familiarity with ISO, FDA, GMP, and diagnostics manufacturing regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP) certifications are desirable.
  • Experience in diagnostics, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting ISO, FDA, or GMP audits is advantageous.
  • Ability to influence without authority and experience presenting to executive or SIOP-level audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and adjust daily production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Monitor production execution and address disruptions, shortages, or delays with minimal impact.
  • Maintain and optimize MRP planning parameters to ensure accurate signals and minimize excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to proactively resolve shortages.
  • Track and report core KPIs including OTIF, backlog, schedule attainment, utilization, and inventory levels.
  • Attend daily management stand-ups and provide clear planning status and root causes of stockouts or service failures.
  • Support SIOP meetings by identifying and communicating inventory or supply risks.
  • Manage planning documentation such as backlog reports, shortage reports, lead-time analysis, and production orders.
