Location/Division Specific Information: Located in Austin, TX, this position entails assisting the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) with relevant experience in GSD or a similar field. Discover Impactful Work Our Manufacturing Technician II team members are responsible for ensuring high-quality production in our downstream filling and packaging departments. This includes filling, capping, labeling, and assembling both sub-assemblies and finished goods. You will be vital in maintaining our world-class standards and helping us compete on a global scale. Many tasks will be performed in a clean manufacturing environment, adhering strictly to safety protocols with personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Proven ability to follow policies, procedures, and schedules independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Operate semi-automated and manual filling equipment
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to lift/move objects: 10lbs regularly, 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a cGMP environment
  • Experience in a life sciences manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Complete manufacturing tasks with precision and consistency
  • Fill, cap, and label vials, bottles, and tubes following established procedures for flawless products
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure daily production goals are met
  • Work in standard and clean room environments, adhering to PPE requirements
  • Safely operate both manual and automated filling equipment
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements on time and align with all ISO and regulatory standards
  • Interact with internal personnel to ensure smooth operations and customer happiness
  • Recognize and address deviations from accepted practices
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential to prevent non-conforming products
  • Maintain strong attendance and punctuality
  • Participate in one-on-one training until proficient
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
