About The Position

The Level II Training Specialist supports manufacturing operations by delivering training to new and existing team members through both classroom sessions and one-on-one instruction. This role requires a strong understanding of the training systems and curriculum, with a focus on implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the Training Specialist develops training content and assists in managing, implementing, and auditing training systems, programs, and initiatives to support the needs of the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Analytical Thinking: Applies foundational analytical techniques to assess training effectiveness and optimize operational workflows. Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting data and evaluating processes to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
  • Training Technology: Designs, develops, and maintains comprehensive training materials and standard operating procedures utilizing commonly used software and technology platforms to enhance learning effectiveness and operational consistency.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrates sound judgment in identifying and addressing routine challenges. Effectively distinguishes between issues that can be resolved independently and those requiring escalation. Skilled in analyzing common problems, applying appropriate solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Project Coordination: Demonstrates the ability to manage and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines. Collaborates effectively with peers to achieve shared project goals, applying both creativity and adherence to organizational standards to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical Communication: Demonstrates proficiency in articulating technical concepts with clarity and precision to both team members and trainees. Effectively translates moderately complex technical information into accessible language tailored to diverse audiences within the organization. Serves as a key resource for ensuring consistent understanding of technical processes and procedures across departments.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrates strong collaboration skills by actively partnering with team members to align training initiatives with broader departmental objectives. Skilled in fostering cohesive teamwork to drive shared goals and ensure seamless integration of learning strategies across functions.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and precision in the creation and delivery of training content. Proactively ensures the quality, consistency, and correctness of materials across team projects, initiatives, and deliverables. Maintains rigorous standards to uphold the integrity and effectiveness of all training outputs.
  • Instructional Design (ID): Applies instructional design principles and adheres to team standards to develop new learning content and enhance existing materials. This includes designing effective training solutions from the ground up and continuously improving current content to ensure it remains aligned with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Application of Systems Knowledge: Demonstrates a solid understanding of core Operations systems, with the ability to effectively communicate system functions and address routine inquiries. Applies systems knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve common challenges independently, supporting operational efficiency and team performance.
  • Time Management: Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and navigate competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines. Maintains a high level of efficiency in organizing and executing personal workload to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'Green Card holder'), or a protected person (e.g., asylee, or refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Develop Training Materials: Designs, develops, and continuously improves standardized training documentation aligned with operational procedures and quality standards. Produces comprehensive learning resources that effectively support and enhance operational performance across teams.
  • Conducts Routine & Non-Routine Training Sessions: Conducts structured training sessions focused on foundational skills and core operational procedures. Leads more specialized and adaptive training programs to address complex skills and evolving operational needs.
  • Provide Training Support: Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert, offering proactive guidance, support, and practical solutions to team members. Lead efforts to address common operational training challenges, fostering continuous improvement and development.
  • Mentor Team Members: Partners with team members to assess training needs and align learning initiatives with team goals. Serves as a knowledgeable resource by mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Problem Resolution: Identifies and addresses routine operational challenges by recognizing deviations from standard procedures. Proactively implements effective, sustainable solutions or escalates issues as appropriate to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
