Seaborn is an award-winning, full-service Marina dedicated to providing exceptional service, expert craftsmanship, and outstanding customer satisfaction. We specialize in all aspects of marine maintenance, repair, and repower projects. We are seeking an organized, customer-focused Marine Service Advisor to join our busy marina team. The ideal candidate has experience in service advising, selling service jobs to customers, and managing the full lifecycle of work orders—from initial estimate through completion and billing. This role is perfect for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced marine environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while ensuring smooth service operations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor (marine industry preferred; automotive or powersports experience also considered)
- Proven ability to sell service jobs and explain technical information clearly
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience creating work orders and processing billing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficient with computer systems and service management software
- Knowledge of boats, marine systems, and service operations is required
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers
- Greet customers, assess service needs, and provide accurate estimates
- Sell recommended service and repair jobs with confidence and professionalism
- Create detailed work orders and communicate job scope clearly to technicians
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure timely job progression
- Follow up with customers throughout the repair process
- Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness
- Process billing and close out work orders in a timely fashion
- Maintain organized records of estimates, service history, and invoices
- Work closely with parts and service departments to ensure efficiency
- Deliver exceptional customer service to promote repeat business and referrals
