The Marketing Associate serves as a key member of the KU Center for Technology Commercialization (KUCTC) commercialization team. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working in close partnership with the Director of Licensing and Licensing Associates, this position supports licensing and startup development efforts through targeted technology marketing, market research, and industry outreach. KUCTC serves all KU campuses, including the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. The mission of KUCTC is to manage discoveries and innovations arising from research so they may have greater impact, benefit the public, and promote economic development. The Marketing Associate works cross-functionally, supporting efforts of KUCTC’s licensing team and other commercialization staff to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with case priorities, industry engagement, and licensing objectives. Responsibilities include identifying and researching prospective licensees and markets, preparing targeted marketing materials, supporting active licensing negotiations as may be needed, and managing KUCTC’s broader communications and digital presence. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement based on departmental scheduling.
