The American Heart Association is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Manager - Scientific Meetings in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. The location for this position is remote. In this role, you will support the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies for assigned national scientific meetings and related products. You will work closely with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to drive registration, abstract submissions, engagement, and revenue outcomes. This role requires strong project management, collaboration, and performance optimization skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, or campaign management. 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Working knowledge of marketing performance metrics and reporting.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, scientific meetings, professional education, or nonprofit environments.
  • Experience supporting national conferences or events.
  • Experience supporting paid media or digital marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans for assigned scientific meetings.
  • Translate business objectives into campaign timelines, messaging frameworks, and promotional calendars.
  • Align marketing tactics with registration, abstract submission, and audience engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with Operations and meeting stakeholders to ensure marketing timelines align with event planning milestones.
  • Coordinate campaign implementation across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Partner with paid media, digital, email, and social teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution across organizational platforms.
  • Develop marketing briefs and work with Creative teams to deliver assets on time and on strategy.
  • Support testing and optimization of marketing tactics to improve performance.
  • Track and monitor campaign performance against defined KPIs.
  • Analyze marketing results and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for audience growth across priority segments including early career, specialty, and international audiences.
  • Serve as a marketing partner to Operations and meeting planning teams.
  • Coordinate with Science, Communications, Digital, and vendor partners to ensure aligned execution.
  • Manage project timelines, approvals, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication to ensure shared understanding of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
