The Material Handling position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials within a manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with valid certification if required.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

  • Experience with computerized inventory management systems.
  • Forklift operator certification.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and supplies according to company standards.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and production lines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, and shipping departments to coordinate material flow.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and participate in regular safety training sessions.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist in organizing warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
