About The Position

Key Responsibility: Will be responsible for set up and troubleshooting of production line equipment. Will perform necessary preventive maintenance to production line equipment. Will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility auxiliary and environmental systems and machinery. Become familiar with new equipment as added to plant. Make reasonable repairs on equipment with minimal downtime. Shut down plant in case of an emergency, survey for any damage and restart plant when safe to do so. Planning, layout, and installation of new equipment. Other projects and duties assigned by supervisor. Requires high-level mechanical skills. Ability to change motors and perform minor electrical motor repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School or GED
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, adapt quickly and effortlessly to changing business priorities and working conditions
  • Ability to logically analyze and mechanically troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and line failures
  • Must possess knowledge of basic machine shop equipment and minor fabrication of parts and assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Exhibit basic knowledge of PLC’s (programmable logic controls)
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills
  • Requires high-level mechanical skills
  • Ability to change motors and perform minor electrical motor repairs

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment such as liquid and gas filling equipment, conveyors, labellers, dispensers, motors and drives is a plus
  • Knowledge of labelers and ink-jet printers
  • Knowledge of aerosol and liquid filling equipment
  • Knowledge of chemical compounding equipment is preferred
