About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating design activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The role involves project planning for mechanical systems related to new and retrofit design and construction, a strong focus on system knowledge, equipment installation, handover plan, and project closeout. It includes managing design engineering firms related to new and retrofit. The role also entails monitoring design packages and field installations for large engineering construction projects to ensure adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements. Ensuring code compliance with mechanical standards, building codes, plumbing codes, and environmental regulations throughout the construction lifecycle is essential. Additionally, it requires ensuring system performance for new construction, remodel projects, and the evaluation of existing facilities' sustained operations. Responsibilities include identifying, tracking, managing, resolving, and communicating project issues throughout all phases of project-related work. The position leads strategic fabrications and supports project planning for mechanical systems related to new and retrofit construction. It also involves developing, reviewing, and approving site construction specifications related to mechanical piping, equipment, and the associated distribution rooms and buildings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ Years of project management and design experience.
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred focus in HVAC, exhaust, plumbing, chilled water/ heating hot water systems, compressed dry air generation and distribution in an industrial setting.
  • Preferred PE, PMP, PgMP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design of new and retrofit manufacturing facilities.
  • Review and drive Mechanical Drawing packages such as HVAC, exhaust, plumbing, chilled water/ heating hot water systems, compressed dry air generation and distribution to completion.
  • Perform and review utility demands for existing and new facilities.
  • Coordinate between Design and Construction to ensure proper flow of information.
  • Review / Approve RFIs, submittals, and material submittals.
