You’ll collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and external partners to turn customer needs into practical, high-quality designs that actually work in the real world. If you like leading through expertise, working across teams, and seeing your designs come to life on the shop floor and at customer sites, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with 0–3 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 5–10 years of hands-on engineering experience.
  • Solid foundation in core engineering principles and practical application.
  • Ability to execute work independently while following established standards and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a habit of reviewing work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical standard—ensuring designs meet engineering best practices and code requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations to turn customer needs into buildable solutions.
  • Solve real-world problems by troubleshooting GFS equipment across design, production, and field environments.
  • Drive cross-functional product development to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Support installations and start-ups with hands-on technical expertise, both remotely and on-site.
  • Interpret and apply IBC, IFC, and NFPA codes with confidence.
  • Innovate through R&D—value-engineer existing products and help launch new ones.
  • Streamline engineering processes to move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Lead technical reviews from concept through production.
  • Analyze airflow, heating, lighting, and mechanical performance to inform smarter designs.
  • Create code-compliant, customer-focused design concepts that perform in the real world.
