Lockheed Martin Space in Courtland, AL is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer Sr. In this role, you will support Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and tooling fixtures for the fabrication of flight hardware and various manned and unmanned launch programs, also support manufacturing teams in component testing and subsystem builds, support subsystem test, shipment, and integration, implement upgrades and design projects, and apply knowledge in troubleshooting and proposing solutions for mechanical-related issues. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent education and experience
  • Hands on experience with tooling for fabrication and assembly.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and proposing solutions for mechanical-related issues.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance - must be a U.S. Citizen
