What you’ll do: Gain hands-on work experience applying methods and theories learned in class developing custom mechanical and electromechanical (PLC based controls) products for our customers Develop new skills and refine others, such as technical acumen, project management, communication, presentation skills, and more Work on a specific customer projects developing products and testing methods supporting fabrication, assembly and installation processes Pair with a Solenis mentor who will provide guidance and feedback during the internship Network with professionals in your field Get a realistic job preview and the ability to evaluate Solenis as a potential employer

Requirements

  • Utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions to real-world problems designing new products and making continuous improvements on existing products
  • Embody our Safety Culture via commitment to safety best practices and contributing to a safe work environment for everyone
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of people in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Apply your coursework in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant STEM majors

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design and visualization software like Inventor and Auto CAD as well as experience with PLC programming will provide a good starting point
