About The Position
R. J. Corman is seeking a talented Mechanical Supervisor to join and lead our team in Ste. Genevieve, MO. Responsibilities: Ensures the safe, efficient, and profitable general management of mechanical operations. Oversees efficient operation through planning and control of daily operations, crew scheduling, and supervising. Follow and monitor work practices, safety related issues to improve quality and performance Locomotive and FRA inspections. Locomotive repairs including mechanical, air and electrical. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general repairs on assigned company locomotives, vehicles, and equipment. Freight car repair if necessary. Some travel to other locations required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Mechanical experience required
- Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
Nice To Haves
- Electrical experience preferred
- Experience in rail car repair preferred
- Welding and Oxygen/acetylene torching experience a plus.
