Senior Sales Account Executive – WURD Radio, LLC Reports to: Director of Sales Position Summary: Results‑driven Senior Sales Account Executive focused on driving new advertising sales and multi‑platform sponsorships that align with WURD’s programming, brand, and revenue goals. The role emphasizes building and managing client/agency relationships and positioning WURD as a leading audio, digital, and experiential marketing platform in the Philadelphia market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of direct, agency, and corporate media sales experience.
  • Strong sales consulting background with emphasis on customer satisfaction and long‑term relationship growth.
  • Solid understanding of the competitive media landscape (radio, digital, and entertainment).
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong follow‑up and organization.
  • Creative, strategic thinker who thrives independently and in team settings.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new business across radio, digital, and corporate sponsorships.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline; develop tailored proposals and strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals and projections.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop strategic partnerships and marketing programs that drive short‑, mid‑, and long‑term revenue.
  • Create and deliver client presentations and services such as remote broadcasts, event support, and on‑site programming.
  • Track competition to generate qualified leads and refine sales strategies.
  • Attend regular management meetings and travel to the Philadelphia home office up to four times per year as needed.
  • Accurately manage sales orders, contracts, billing, and reporting; collect and reconcile client/agency payments.
  • Collaborate with Programming to ensure client on‑air content meets station standards.
  • Support PR and marketing initiatives to enhance WURD’s brand image and audience reach.
