About The Position

Las Vegas Urology, a well-respected and growing practice, is currently seeking a Medical Assistant who is patient-focused, dependable, and thrives in a team-based environment. Our staff has proudly served the Las Vegas community for decades with compassionate, quality care - and we're looking for someone who shares that same commitment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred, as this role includes communicating directly with Spanish-speaking patients and providing translation to ensure clear understanding of medical instructions, procedures, and care plans. You'll support our clinical team and physicians in delivering excellent patient care through hands-on procedures, documentation, and patient education.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with clinical and clerical functions in a medical setting

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred - must be comfortable translating medical information clearly and accurately for patients

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and preparing them for exams
  • Assisting with in-office procedures and setting up instruments
  • Managing control logs and ensuring compliance documentation
  • Performing wound checks, suture/staple removal, and educating patients on wound care
  • Specimen collection and handling (venipuncture, urinalysis, prostate tissue)
  • Administering injections (Lupron, Depo-Provera, Testosterone, Collagen testing)
  • Catheter insertions/removals, voiding trials, bladder instillations, and teaching self-catheterization
  • Conducting impotence testing (Doppler, Biothesiometry)
  • Reviewing lab results and communicating with patients
  • Preparing charts and handling patient calls
  • Performing general clerical duties (scanning, faxing, emails, record keeping)
  • Providing translation services for Spanish-speaking patients during visits, procedures, phone calls, and follow-up communications to ensure accurate understanding of medical information and care instructions
