About The Position

Rockline is implementing a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across our U.S. operations, and we’re building a dedicated project team to support this multi‑year transformation. As an MES Team Member within Engineering, you will collaborate with cross‑functional peers, plant teams, OT leadership, and our external integrator to ensure the system integrates seamlessly with current and future operations technology (OT) strategies. This role directly contributes to bringing AI, Machine Learning, and modern digital tools into Rockline’s plants and will help shape the future of our production controls, information flow, and data reporting across our global footprint. The MES deployment will last 36-48 months and expand into a broader role in the OT space of the business at close of that timeframe.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with progressive technical responsibility in OT and/or engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience using controls and PLCs (Rockwell, Bosch, Siemens a plus).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of engineering practices, processes, controls, and management of change.
  • Proven ability to communicate highly detailed technical and operational information and translate it into clear, logical business rules.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority, mentor technically, and gain stakeholder buy‑in.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AVEVA or other MES software preferred.
  • Awareness of IoT/Industry 4.0 systems and approaches preferred.
  • Experience contributing to large‑scale, multi‑plant initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional peers on the MES Core Team and with OT leadership to ensure MES capabilities align with current and future OT strategies, including controls architecture and OT infrastructure.
  • Define and maintain MES‑to‑equipment integration standards, including nomenclature, hardware interfaces, and backward compatibility with existing assets.
  • Review and provide technical input on MES designs, configurations, and deliverables developed by the external integrator to ensure alignment with Rockline OT and controls expectations.
  • Support knowledge transfer by contributing to technical documentation, standards, and best‑practice guidance for plant engineering and OT teams.
  • Contribute to the development and phased rollout of the MES feature roadmap, supporting pilot definition and gap analysis for future plant deployments.
  • Actively support change management initiatives by engaging with MES change champions, collecting feedback, and helping drive adoption.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Rockline’s RRITE values: Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, contributing to Rockline’s strong safety culture.
  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job‑related work as needed.

Benefits

  • You will help deliver one of Rockline’s most impactful digital modernization initiatives.
  • Your work directly influences every Rockline plant in the U.S.
  • You will gain deep exposure to MES, OT, controls engineering, automation, and data technology.
  • You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative culture grounded in the RRITE values.
  • This role grows into broader opportunities within Operations Technology after the multi‑year MES deployment.
