About The Position

HII is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in Navy Maintenance and Repair Programs. This role is responsible for providing overall program oversight, coordinating program requirements, and ensuring proper resource allocation to meet all technical objectives. The Program Manager will oversee and manage multiple concurrent tasks across various work locations, maintaining quality-of-life standards for berthing and messing crews assigned to Duty Crew Berthing Barges. This position is based in Virginia Beach.

This position is contingent up on contract award

Requirements

• Must have 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in Engineering or Project Management ; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
• Must have extensive years of relevant experience managing Naval Maintenance and Repair Projects and Programs with organizational, sustainment and depot level maintenance and repair work
• Experience developing and managing integrated work schedules for Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Repairs, Sustainment, or depot level repairs for Barges.
• Technical knowledge of Local Area Networks and equipment
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex maintenance and operational support programs with expert knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items, NFPA codes, OSHA regulations, and Navy maintenance processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Active Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and understanding of the technical customer, The Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Berthing & Messing Barge Program.
• Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience managing Naval Maintenance and Repair Projects and Programs with organizational, sustainment and depot level maintenance and repair work
• Experience managing Navy or DoD programs >$35M
• Experience developing, maintaining, and managing government required contract deliverables.
• Experience executing and deploying service repair teams
• PMP certification

Responsibilities

• This role will be responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of the Berthing Barge Operational Support contract, program oversight in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), schedule, resource allocation, subcontract management, and ensuring all contract deliverables are met.
• Directs all phases of programs and will serve as the primary point of contact to the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Ability to manage work in secure environments and handling sensitive information and managing Local Area Network Equipment.
