About The Position

Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level structural engineer in support of projects in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. The hired individual will support the Structural Engineering organization in markets such as DOE/DOD labs and campuses, education, healthcare, sports, and advanced manufacturing. While this role's specific projects are located in Albuquerque, Martin/Martin’s national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a broad range of structural engineering skills, demonstrate a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and produce high-quality designs for our clients. A typical work week can include drawing development, project coordination, engineering calculations, construction administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. About Martin/Martin, Inc. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an ABET accredited engineering/architecture curriculum
  • 4+ years of progressive engineering experience
  • 1 year of professional experience equivalencies include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, OR passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Albuquerque area.
  • Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
  • Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality project documentation using computer design and graphics software programs.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding career development, design techniques, software, and code questions.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through project work and business development activities.
