About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL! This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry · Engineering · Computer Science · Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) · Mathematics · Physics · Chemistry Position Responsibilities: Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances. Performs bench-marking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
3+ years of experience using Excel to perform data analysis
Experience working or inspecting non-conformance work orders

Nice To Haves

Experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams/less experienced team members
System Integration experience a plus
Ability to work autonomously
Excellent Communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational experience
Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
Familiar with drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes
