Mid -Level Support Equipment Technician- Germany
About The Position
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Mid -Level Support Equipment Technician to support the USN P-8 program located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a long term assignment to Nordholz, Germany, subject to business conditions and individual performance. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international relocation will be provided. At the sole discretion of leadership, employee must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
- Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time
- Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
- Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
- Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country
- Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.
- This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

- General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
- Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
- Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
- Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
- Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
- Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
- Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
