Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support an innovative program. You will apply systems and mission engineering principles to support the development of advanced defense and space systems. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of complex mission capabilities, translating operational needs into technical requirements and supporting the rapid development and transition of emerging technologies. Work Location: Onsite : Arlington, VA. Travel: L ess than 10% Clearance: Active TS/SCI required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related STEM field.
  • Mid-level experience applying systems engineering principles to complex defense or space systems.
  • Direct technical knowledge in national security domains such as space operations, missile defense, long-range fires, or related strategic capabilities.
  • Understanding of operational concepts, system architectures, and emerging technologies supporting advanced defense missions.
  • Experience applying systematic, top-down systems engineering approaches to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience employing mission engineering methodologies to identify and analyze capability gaps.
  • Experience developing and managing technology roadmaps for the integration of emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of the full lifecycle of research and development programs from concept through delivery.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments emphasizing rapid prototyping, iterative development, and accelerated capability delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical efforts across government organizations, military services, national laboratories, and industry partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
