About The Position
Big Sky Resort is looking for driven and kind candidates who thrive in guest interactions. Mountain Bike Coaches and Guides are expected to provide exceptional guest service while coaching riders and guide them around the downhill trails at Big Sky Resort. Knowledge of Big Sky Resort's trails is pertinent to help guides and coaches lead groups with a wide skill set and age range. Safety is the number one priority when providing memorable and transformational experiences around the mountain.
Requirements
- Able to independently lead group mountain bike rides/tours and supervise safety of guests and self
- Able to work in potentially extreme weather conditions and manage rocky, rough and uneven trails while exerting considerable physical effort
- Knowledge and experience in bike maintenance for trailside repairs
- All Mountain Bike Guides must have their own downhill or enduro mountain bike, helmet, and pads
- Previous downhill and cross-country mountain biking experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with equipment maintenance, rentals and sales, and trail maintenance.
- Guiding requires the use of considerable judgment to adapt methods and procedures to changing situations and environments
