About The Position

We are looking for a MR/CT Supervisor to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health! What You'll Do: Supervises day to day operations for CT/MR Including but not limited to staff and work schedule preparation for approval by the department director; the performance and/or delegation of all quality assurance/regulatory guidelines. Monitoring the compliance of modality staff in relation to their position descriptions and assigned responsibilities, as well as department policies and procedures. Monitoring the accuracy of charges generated by the modality. Assumes responsibility for all regulatory issues and the compliance of these agency requirements in relation to MRI/CT. Assisting the Radiologists and department director in the development of protocols and policies relating to these modalities, the department, or anticipated service lines. Assists director and medical director with image services, projects, and analysis; assists with scheduling questions; assists with policy updates. Participates on Radiation Safety Committee/ QA committee. Performs MRI/CT procedures within the Imaging Services Department Provides essential information on radiographs/film/ Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) files (e.g., patient name, Seq. Number, date, date of birth, medical record number, lead identification markers, etc.). Provides Radiologist’s report to appropriate personnel. Maintains patient confidentiality. Schedules patient procedures, providing pre-exam instructions. Verifies patient/caregiver understanding of instructions. Maintains patient history reports and PACS in department utilizing Radiology Information System (RIS) filing systems, following departmental policies and procedures. Maintains clean equipment and work area. Reports any potential hazards or malfunctions of equipment to other supervisors or other appropriate personnel. Contacts service when indicated; practices fire and safety policies. Assists in maintaining competency for all staff in imaging department  Works to educate the staff on new software/equipment and to maintain a high level of quality in each area. Assists with working on staff schedules. Other  Responds to emergencies outside regularly scheduled work hours. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Attends all mandatory education and in-services (i.e., team training, safety, infection control, etc.); completes mandatory health requirements. Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital and department’s Ethics and Compliance program and is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or the hospital hotline.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Three years’ supervisory experience in Imaging.
  • ARRT registered; MRI and/or Computed Tomography Certification.
  • State of Ohio Radiological Technologist license.
