About The Position

As a Multimedia Visual Communications Specialist in AFWERX, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and distributing various forms of multimedia content to support the AFWERX mission and Director priorities. You will utilize your expertise in multimedia production techniques, graphic design, photography, videography, and digital media to document events, and convey important messages and the value of AFWERX to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance
• Degree or certificate in multimedia production, graphic design, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience working in the multimedia field, preferably within a military or government context.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated creative and artistic ability in photography, graphic design, video production, and multimedia content development.
• Proficiency with multimedia production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of photography and videography techniques, equipment, and visual storytelling principles.
• Experience designing graphics and multimedia products with strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines while using digital collaboration tools such as Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality multimedia content including videos, photography, graphics, animations, and interactive presentations to support AFWERX initiatives.
• Capture and edit visual media to document AFWERX activities while ensuring compliance with DoD guidelines and OPSEC requirements.
• Design graphics, logos, infographics, signage, and presentation materials for print and digital platforms in accordance with AFWERX branding standards.
• Maintain and update digital platforms, including websites and multimedia repositories, ensuring usability, accessibility, and visual consistency.
• Manage multimedia assets by organizing, cataloging, and archiving digital content to ensure secure storage and efficient retrieval.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop targeted visual products, incorporate feedback, and support AFWERX communication objectives.
