About The Position

Promotes and follows the City's mission statement, values and expectations. Conducts research of the historical identification and interpretation of museum artifacts, photographs, documents, and other items with historical significance; inventories the artifact collection, photographs museum objects, scans archival material, scans the photographic collection and updates museum database records for the artifacts. Documents and maintains progress of research projects in work journal. Photographs and digitizes museum artifacts, photographs, documents, and other items for the Museum's online collection database. Performs additional tasks related to the Museum Collections Digitization RAMP Project and other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Concurrent enrollment or recent graduation from a degree program in museum studies, art history, public history, history, anthropology, archaeology or related field.
