The National Account Manager is responsible for developing customer strategies, leading complex negotiations, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver profitable sales results. The position for National Account Manager is expected to be open until April 10, 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related areas of study.
  • 10+ years of national account sales experience.
  • Proven success managing large strategic retail accounts and delivering profitable growth.
  • Strong financial acumen including forecasting, margin analysis, P&L management, and promotional ROI evaluation.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems required; experience with Oracle Sales Cloud preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of consumer buying behavior and retail trends.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%, including trade shows, customer meetings, and occasional weekend events.
  • Must be able to work from our Boulder, CO headquarters.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. May serve as a senior resource for other team members.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be 18 or older to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for national customers with complex selling cycles, multiple decision-makers, and cross-functional buying teams.
  • Lead customer line reviews for Nite Ize and distributed brands, category presentations, and new product sell-in efforts tied to bi-annual New Product Launches (NPL).
  • Analyze POS trends, market data, and account performance using internal reporting tools (DOMO, CRM, retailer portals) to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer programs including assortment expansion, promotional execution, displays, planograms, and item setup.
  • Own revenue, margin, and profitability performance across assigned accounts through product mix, pricing strategy, promotional planning, and business reviews.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, promotional funding, and business terms to support long-term account growth.
  • Manage initiatives through CRM including opportunities, sample requests, customer communications, and account development plans.
  • Serve as a senior resource within the sales organization and contribute to best practices across the team.
