Network Engineer II The Network Engineer II administers, monitors, and maintains the campus network infrastructure that provides network connectivity to New York Presbyterian BMH Hospital staff, visitors, and residents. The Network Engineer II reports to the Manager of Core Resources. This is a on-site position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 or more years support experience for network infrastructure products
- Thorough working knowledge of OSI model and the interaction between the layers
- Must be familiar with protocols and technologies including ICMP, SNMP, and TCP/IP, Ethernet, STP
- all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Nice To Haves
- CCNA-level mastery of STP, TCP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP, Ethernet, Multicast
- Experience with Cisco and Arista Networking hardware
- Experience with Cisco or Aruba wireless infrastructure
