About The Position

The Telehealth Neurologist provides specialized neurological care through remote consultation services for incarcerated adult patients within the Harris County Jail. This part-time role includes conducting virtual evaluations and managing neurological conditions such as seizures, headaches, neuropathies, and movement disorders using secure telehealth platforms. The Neurologist collaborates closely with on-site nursing staff and primary care providers to deliver timely, evidence-based recommendations that support continuity of care in a correctional setting.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Valid Texas Medical License
  • Board-Certified Adult Neurologist (completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Fellowship)
  • Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) License
  • No prior experience required
  • Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
  • Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)
