About The Position

A busy professional family is seeking a rock-star newborn care specialist for their firstborn due August 17th. The role will be live-in 20/7 for 3 months, with the option to extend. This is an easy-going and kind family who is looking for someone great to guide them during this exciting new chapter.

  • Must be comfortable telling them if bottles aren't sterilized correctly or intervening if the baby is overtired and needs a nap.
  • Someone who can lay the foundation for the baby to sleep through the night by 3–4 months.
  • Someone who can enforce a schedule. Need to feel fine telling mom and dad or grandma that the baby needs to go down for a nap now, or the baby needs to fall asleep in its bassinet/bed, vs always falling asleep on mom
  • Looking for a specialist who maintains a "put-together" presence. Does not need to be fancy, just want basic hygiene top of mind
  • Must be comfortable taking the baby for short neighborhood walks. Just want someone who feels fine navigating the block
  • Must be proficient with basic technology (FaceTime, etc.) for seamless communication.
  • Need an assertive personality who can jump into action, perform CPR, or call 911 without hesitation. Don’t need proof of having done this, just want someone with personality that gives confidence in how they would react
  • Proof of Infant CPR and First Aid, and Specialist/Baby Nurse certifications.
  • Vaccination records (TDAP, Flu, COVID).
  • Background Check (Criminal/DMV).

  • Maintains a formal log (digital or physical) to track feedings, sleep, and diapers.
  • The candidate should be good with monthly developmental milestones and proactively engage the baby in appropriate activities.
  • Want someone with a proactive approach to identifying the "why" behind crying (e.g., overstimulation, hunger, discomfort). It is important that they can act accordingly and teach parents how to recognize these cues themselves.
  • While the baby is the priority, the family is seeking a professional who proactively manages baby-related chores (bottles, baby laundry, etc.).
