About The Position

Parsons is looking for a Master Plumber with a North Carolina Class I plumbing license to join our team! In this role you will get to focus on improving the quality of life for Residents throughout the Fayetteville and Wilmington areas by resolving drinking water quality issues and well pumping system issues. In addition to working on Residential drinking water systems, the candidate will have opportunities to work with Engineers and professionals on other systems designed to remediate subsurface and surface water contamination.

Requirements

  • Class I NC Plumbing License
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems associated with well pumps and pump controls covered under limited electrical task of a Class I Plumbing License
  • Ability to work in a small team of staff with various skills
  • Ability to Organize and direct small teams working under you
  • Familiarity with plumber material vendors, local and online industrial suppliers
  • Willingness to problem solve and develop new solutions and approaches to plumbing approaches working within a small team environment.
  • Basic familiarity with Internet browsers, MS Excel and MS Word

  • Experience with MS Teams

Responsibilities

  • Assessing pre-existing mechanical and design problems with Residential water systems.
  • Implementing equipment and piping design improvements of well systems.
  • Overseeing and directing a team to complete connection of Residential and some commercial properties to over 15 public water systems.
  • Working within an existing team of professionals coordinating this work with public water providers, county official, residents, DOT and other stakeholders.
  • Provide plumbing expertise to managers and engineers developing specialized solutions.
  • Provide field oversight of licensed utility contractors installing taps on water mains and installing lateral water lines under roads.
  • Assist with maintenance and inspections of filtration systems installed on small public water treatment systems.
  • Providing technical guidance and direction to a small team of field technicians working under you and inspecting their work.
  • Assisting safety professionals with recommendations on best practices, proper tools and protective equipment for plumbing tasks.
  • Collecting water samples for laboratory testing and self-performing field tests.
