About The Position

Nurse Intern assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and or/unit. Requirements

High school graduate or GED required.
Planned graduation from a state approved nursing program within three months of hire
De-escalation training
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Good organizational and planning ability.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward
Schedules NCLEX exam as soon as eligible
Passes NCLEX exam within sixteen weeks of hire

Nice To Haves

Current Nursing Assistant I Certification listed with the NC Department of Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional languages desired.
New RN with less than one-year experience
Current Nursing Assistant I Certification listed with the NC Department of Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry.
