About The Position

Nurse Intern assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and or/unit.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Planned graduation from a state approved nursing program within three months of hire
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Good organizational and planning ability.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
• Schedules NCLEX exam as soon as eligible
• Passes NCLEX exam within sixteen weeks of hire

Nice To Haves

• Current Nursing Assistant I Certification listed with the NC Department of Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry.
• Additional languages desired.
• New RN with less than one year experience
