About The Position

Nurse Practitioner Coordinator, Occupational Health – ProgressiveHealth Occ Health, LLC – San Antonio, TX Proudly Partnering with H-E-B! ProgressiveHealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner Coordinator to serve as a clinical lead at an H-E-B distribution facility in San Antonio, TX . This role blends hands-on patient care with meaningful clinical leadership, allowing you to influence care delivery, support fellow Nurse Practitioners, and partner directly with the client. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced occupational health setting where your expertise truly matters—helping keep employees healthy, safe, and productive while driving injury prevention and wellness initiatives. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with Board Certification
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner in state of practice location 
  • Not currently have any professional disciplinary proceeding of any state or federal authorities or any disciplinary action of any medical facility in any jurisdiction
  • Has never been excluded, suspended, or otherwise sanctioned by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party payor, nor listed on any state or government list of excluded individuals, parties, or specially designated nationals list as debarred, excluded, or otherwise ineligible for participation in government healthcare programs.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A healthcare provider must hold a valid and in-good-standing license and/or certification to practice in the State or Country where the facility of employment is located; or be eligible to obtain such a license and have current CPR/AED/BLS certification.
  • If clinical operations require writing prescriptions for controlled substances, a valid DEA license is required.
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care & Clinical Services Provide direct, onsite patient care within an occupational health clinic
  • Perform assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and treatments
  • Deliver first aid and occupational health services including wound care, splinting, eye irrigation, EKG interpretation, foreign body removal, immunizations (e.g., Tdap), and follow-up care
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with evidence-based practice and regulatory standards
  • Clinical Leadership & Decision Support Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for staff-level Nurse Practitioners
  • Support complex clinical decision-making in collaboration with the Medical Director
  • Ensure consistent application of clinical protocols, standing orders, and evidence-based practices across the site
  • Staff Support, Training & Coordination Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development of NP staff
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and clinical education to promote high-quality, consistent care
  • Foster collaboration and clear communication across the clinical team
  • Injury Prevention, Wellness & Health Surveillance Support injury prevention initiatives and employee wellness programs
  • Monitor employee health trends and conduct surveillance for occupational and non-occupational health risks
  • Respond to emerging health concerns as needed
  • Program Support & Site Operations Partner with client stakeholders to address clinical needs, workflow improvements, and employee health trends
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Support emergency preparedness protocols and response planning in coordination with safety and operations teams
