About The Position

Murdoch is currently recruiting for a Nurse Supervisor I(NSI) located in Royall Cottage. Royall Cottage is home to 48 men and women; Royall’s person-centered programs serve to develop new skills while maintaining and refining existing skills. This is accomplished in a warm, homelike environment where both staff and people served are treated with dignity and respect. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the 2nd shift Nurse Supervisor and clinically and administratively supervise licensed nurses, both LPNs and RNs. This position requires knowledge of and must comply with ICF regulations. This nurse serves as liaison to all service areas, families, and members of the division management team for coordination of health care services. This Nurse Supervisor performs QA rounds for the division on a rotating basis. This Nurse Supervisor is responsible for setting the standards, coordinating the provision of health care, monitoring quality assurance, and planning for the utilization or resources to include staff management, equipment, and training. Staff management functions include all aspects of personnel management: interviewing, hiring, orienting, monitoring, counseling, competency assessment, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action. This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina or in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Successful candidate must be able to pass Healthcare Provider CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Successful candidate must have a valid Driver License.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of nursing experience.
