About The Position
This is a Repost Previous Applicants Do Not Need to Apply Murdoch Developmental Center is currently recruiting for a Health Care Technician II located at Royall Cottage, Unit 3 which is a Male Unit, and reports to the Unit Manager. This position serves as a Supervisory technician and monitors the care provided by the Health Care Technician I’s providing feedback to staff as needed. This position provides specialized direct services to adults with intellectual developmental disabilities, some of whom may have behavior problems and/or medical conditions in the form of behavioral programming, habilitative training/activities, and in assisting with necessary health care needs. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with Multi-handicapped individuals having knowledge of basic health care, hygiene and safety.
- As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
- As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
Responsibilities
