JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Glenwood, MN • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Clinic schedule to be confirmed • On-Call Shift Schedule: Night call during assigned coverage week • Call Type: Beeper COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage beginning ASAP • One week of coverage per month PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Obstetrics and Gynecology patients • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 105 deliveries per year • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: TBD • Case Mix: 60% Obstetrics and 40% Gynecology FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 22-bed hospital • Trauma Level: Critical Access Hospital • EMR System: Meditech • Office Equipment Available: Standard OB/GYN clinical equipment • Specialty Backup Available: High-risk pregnancies referred to St. Cloud or Twin Cities facilities • Support Staff Available: Clinical support staff available • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Emergency privileges available • Credentialing Timeline: Expedited with emergency privileges available COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General obstetrics care • General gynecologic evaluations and treatment • Labor and delivery management
Requirements
- Licenses: Minnesota medical license preferred
- Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- DEA: Active DEA Certification required
- Experience: Experience in obstetrics and gynecology practice preferred
- Ability to manage clinic and call coverage
Nice To Haves
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide obstetrics and gynecology clinical care during assigned coverage weeks
- Manage labor and delivery services for the facility
- Provide gynecologic evaluations and treatment
- Coordinate care with hospital staff and referral centers for high-risk pregnancies
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the Meditech EMR system
