About The Position

We are looking for a motivated individual to serve as Office Associate at Vienna Correctional Center. This position will keyboard a variety of materials, maintain and monitor daily records for the Assignment/Adjustment Office, serve as secretary, and monitor and track individual in custody paperwork. In addition, this position serves as receptionist for the Assignment/Adjustment Office. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve in this role and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Keyboards a variety of difficult, complex, and specialized materials.
  • Maintains and monitors daily and accurate records for the Assignment/Adjustment Office.
  • Serves as secretary for the Assignment/Adjustment Office.
  • Monitors and tracks individual in custody contract paperwork.
  • Serves as receptionist for the Assignment/Adjustment Office.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
