About The Position

Join DCI Engineers in our San Francisco, CA office as an Office Operations Manager and play a key role in supporting the operational success of a dynamic structural engineering practice. This position serves as a strategic partner to office leadership, helping ensure that day-to-day operations, team support, and administrative systems run smoothly in a collaborative professional environment. As an Office Operations Manager, you will help lead and coordinate the operational functions of the San Francisco office, supporting both staff and leadership while maintaining an efficient and well-organized workplace.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to managing office operations.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment while working independently.
  • Comfort working with new technology and office systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and related tools).
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting operations within a professional services, architecture, engineering, or construction environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with office leadership to support overall office operations and day-to-day management of a 30+ person professional services office.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve office processes, and procedures to support efficient and scalable operations.
  • Serve as a central resource for staff, helping coordinate administrative and operational needs across the office.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and facilities to ensure the office environment operates smoothly.
  • Coordinate internal communications, office schedules, meetings, and general logistics.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding efforts in coordination with HR, IT, and office leadership.
  • Assist with planning office events, employee recognition activities, and client appreciation efforts that help strengthen office culture.
  • Coordinate and support key business operations, including proposals, contracts, project documentation, and invoicing workflows in collaboration with office leadership and project teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency as the office continues to grow.
